I am a core driller/underground miner. I've been in it for 19 years. Where are you currently mining?
I am currently doing core drilling and tunneling at the Nevada National Security Site.
What do you love most about your career?
If there was one thing you could change about the mining industry, what would it be?
I would change the way that miners are treated. It's too often that you see the miners of today not treated well or respected for what we do, and way underpaid for the boots on the ground guys.

I would say that I love the brotherhood that you create with co-workers, and the everyday challenges that you face. Nothing is the same going into work.

What advice would you give a miner just starting out?
Don't come in with the attitude of, I can do this I worked in construction or what ever other physical job you had because it takes a different breed to be away from home for long hitches and working in underground mining/core drilling. It will make or break you.
What are your favorite things to do outside of work?
Spending time with my family and projects for the wife.
What is one fun fact about you?
Outside of mining and drilling I have an extensive background in computer software engineering.
